Schamlos – Lesung und Gespräch

21. October 2019, 16:30 Uhr - 18:30 Uhr

Eine Veranstaltung von DaMigra e.V. Leipzig

Three young women – Muslims, bloggers, feminists – take up position: How does it feel to be constantly torn between living according to their parents’ expectations, their cultural identity and their self-conception as adolescents in a Western country? They talk openly about taboos, discuss courageously and look for ways out of this “dilemma” – without having to break away. How does one bridge the gap between cultural and religious norms on the one hand and a self-determined and emancipated life on the other hand? We are happy to invite one of the authors, Sofia Nesrine Srour, to our reading and discussion and we are looking forward to an exciting and encouraging exchange.
This event also takes place in Halle on Sunday, 20th October 2019 at 2.30-4.30 pm:
