We’d like to celebrate an intercultural film festival together, which we’ve dubbed Polyloid. This name might be translated as ‘many films’. Behind it are the people who live in East Leipzig and their diverse and often difficult life stories. Films recount such stories with humour, tension, and drama. Sometimes they also tell us a bit about ourselves.

We don’t want to write film history but rather to use films to tell stories from many countries.
