STOP THE DEATHS OF PEOPLE ON THE MOVE – Transnational Commemoraction

On February 6th, 2026 we take the deliberate, violent attack on more than 200 people who attempted to swim from the Moroccan coast to the Spanish enclave Ceuta on February 6th 2014, to commemorate all victims of border violence since then and before then.

This day is devoted to the fight against deadly border violence, to victims of state violence perpetually laced with state racism, to the families who continue to miss loved ones and who demand truth, justice and reparation.

The commemorAction will take place in two parts: In Pögehaus there will be a space to listen to both voices of the families and friends left behind and voices from the onging struggle for freedom of movemement. Later, there will be an outdoor part in Rabet to remember and commemorate together.
