Politische Bildungsveranstaltung zu feministischen Perspektiven im Islam

Im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe «Feministischer Juni» gibt die Referentin Barfin Hadash einen Einblick in feministische Perspektiven im Islam.

Inhalt der VA:
Feminism is not just a white European phenomenon – many feminists in the Islamic world also struggle on a daily basis to fight the patriarchy.
In this workshop we will examine the historical development of women’s roles in Islamic contexts. How are women portrayed in the holy texts and where are the restrictions and opportunities for an Islamic feminism?
We will explicitly look at what feminists did to fight the restrictions of religion and society at the beginning of this century until today.
